London Part I

Amused by the end-line name -- every time it was announced I smiled and laughed -- guess I teach middle school for a reason. The next signs, same reaction.

Below are photos from an amazing meal at The Savoy in London. Really, the experience had a lot of potential for pretense, stuffiness and snobbery. It turned out to be quite the opposite. Handily, one if the best meals of my life; Damiana near Cabo San Lucas, ranks up there, too.
The staff waiting on us was genuinely interested in our interest in an amazing dining experience -- Roman and Shawn counted 5 people waiting on us from at least 3 different countries. The bar is high for excellence and the focus is on the team with that common goal.
Thanks to Gordon Ramsay for enlightening us through his television medium. The real experience has far more depth.
Trite as it may sound, had we not watched the shows, we never would have been comfortable going for The Savoy experience in London. We even received a tour of the kitchen at the end of our meal--generous in spirit and a time to cherish for our little quartet.

One last thing-- we marveled at the English packaging for dispensing Skittles.
