One of my favorite things is the olive and the oil that comes from it. We took a tour into the Sierra Nevada mountains of Spain to learn about the ancient pressing process as well as the modern. We saw a 15th century press and we tasted 5 varieties of oil as well as some wine and sherry. We were also treated to a song and our guide was lovely!

Legend has it the Moorish kings are buried under the church after they were driven out of Granada in the 11th (?) century. The Moors fled to the Sierra Nevada and hid out for several centuries.
Beautiful olive tree -- they can live for hundreds of years.
